Pienza is one of my favorite places in the countryside of Tuscany and if you are planning a a trip to Tuscany I suggest that you read our 7 days itinerary. The first time I visited Pienza was 5 years ago and I got crazy about the cheese: Pienza is internationally known for its delicious pecorino. I remember I ate a small pecorino with truffles in one night alone! There is also a cheese festival once a year (today and tomorrow!), you can get information at Tuscanycious blog.
