The Pistoia Blues Festival is one of the oldest music Festivals taking place in Tuscany in Italy.
The first edition of the festival took place in 1980.
Since then the greatest music artists have been staging in Pistoia: Muddy Waters, Dizzie Gillespie, John Lee Hooker, Frank Zappa, Jimmy Page, B.B. King, Blues Brothers, Santana, Bob Dylan, Deep Purple, Patti Smith (here you can find the complete list).
In time the festival has been changing and began to include italian artists like Franco Battiato also extending the genres of music from “Blues” to “Hard Rock” artists like the ones performing in this year’s edition.
This year the Pistoia Blues Festival 2010 will take place from the 14th of July until the 18th of July in Pistoia‘s beautiful medioeval Duomo Square.
