One day a week, dedicated (for a few minutes) to ART. I am launching the hashtag #ArtWednesday. Here is what that means: on twitter or facebook, every wednesday, post something to do with art. Write the word #ArtWednesday with it so everyone knows what you’re up to. Below you’ll find some examples.
Background: on the microblogging network Twitter, the hashtag (#) is a way to identify a word that people use as a kind of index. You can search based on that hashtag and find others talking about the same thing. Days of the week have been allocated to various trends: there is #followfriday (#ff) and #traveltuesday (#tt), when people suggest a list of other users to “follow” on twitter. The hashtag #followart has been around for a few months but is slow to take off, perhaps because it’s not associated with one day of the week.
Wednesday is that midweek slump in our lives that can be perked up by art. So participate in #ArtWednesday and add a little beauty to your life, and to those of everyone around you. Here are some examples of what you might post…
