This upcoming weekend – March 23 and 24 – is the perfect time to find yourself in Italy because, thanks to the 21st annual FAI SPRING DAY, 700 cultural and historical sites all over the country will be open to the public free of charge and with free guided tours.
The event is an amazing national show of art and beauty and is organized by FAI – Fondo Ambiente Italiano – the largest Italian non-profit foundation for the protection and management of the country’s artistic and natural heritage.
Prepare yourself to choose among gardens, churches, palaces, libraries, museums, many of which are usually off limits to the public … and, of course, Tuscany is ready to do its part!
Discover all the art venues specifically opened in Tuscany on March 23 and 24 (unfortunately the full program is only in Italian).
All of the sites are worth the visit, but if you are looking specifically for an English guided tour, take note of this:
Corsini Villa and Garden – Florence
Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 5pm
Guided tours in English every hour
Note: registrations to FAI will be open during the event (and a few sites will be open only to FAI members).
