As you probably know, December 8 is bank holiday in Italy because it’s the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and the day in which, traditionally, the Christmas season starts. This also means that a lot of tourist are going to arrive in Tuscany and we don’t want them to feel annoyed if they were planning to visit a museum and in the end they find it closed
