Autumn Food Feasts

This autumn there are different festivals that celebrate delicious tuscan foods and products. I have selected three of my favorite food feasts…something classic, something elegant and something strange. Which one will you head for?

Steak and Porcini Mushroom Feast

Festival: “Sagra della bistecca e del fungo porcino” Steak and Mushrooms is an all time tuscan classic, delicious and juicy pairing at a relatively low price, I suggest you arrive early.
Location: Certaldo,  Florence
Date: every weekend from September 9th to October 10th

White Truffle Feast

Festival: Sagra del tartufo bianco. This prestigious tuber, aka Magnatum Pico, is very rare but Tuscany claims one of the best qualities in the area surrounding Pisa. A true delicacy for real gourmets
Location: San Miniato, Pisa
Date: September 24th to 26th

Frog Feast

Festival: Sagra della Ranochiocciola – Frog Legs, Snails and Grilled meat – a very peculiar menu that will however surprise you!
Location: Montespertoli, Firenze
Date: September 17th to 19th
