This weekend Pisa will host Dolcemente Pisa (Sweetly Pisa) a show that portrays the region’s finest pastries.  Just like last year I suggest you visit simply because you get to try loads of traditional chocolates and sweets, there’s a special area dedicated to kids (Dolcemente Junior) and this year Gualtiero Marchesi will even be present with a dedicated workshop. Gualtiero’s presence underlines the importance of this year’s edition which takes place on the 150th anniversary from the unification of Italy and Marchesi is a perfect symbol of the importance and union of italian cuisine.

Dolcemente also involves the city centre with two special moments: the boat cruises along the Arno river, with tastings of De Bondt hot chocolate, and the Passeggiata Pasticciata, a walking through the workshops and the artistic and historical beauties of the city of Pisa.

Please take a look at the site: http://www.dolcementepisa.it/english/ for further details on workshops and tours.
