Gelato Festival in Florence 2012

The best artisan gelato makers of Italy are back to Florence for Gelato Festival 2012!

Where you can find them? In the heart of Florence. More specifically, in Piazza della Repubblica, in Piazza Santa Maria Novella and Piazza Strozzi. Also at Palazzo Gondi and Giardino di Boboli.

When? May 23th to May 27

Who will be there? A special space will be dedicated to those who have just decided to become a gelato maker, and maybe studied at school to realize this dream. Not only, are also back the contests, for both the public and the artisan gelato makers for the creation of the summer 2012 flavour.

To taste the ice cream and get the fun gadgets, you must buy the Gelato Card. You can also win the Gelato Card by playing a facebook game where you have to scratch a card and discover three flavors that in order to win must be the same.

The programme of the Gelato Festival include:

• the “Gelato maker for a day”
• the Gelato cocktail bar
• the Gelato cooking show with some of the must important italian chef (Simone Rugiati, Francesco Sanapo, Claudio Pistocchi…)
• A book presentation
