The zucchini (pronounced /zʊˈkiːni/, plural: zucchini or zucchinis; from Italian: zucchina, plural: zucchine) or courgette plural: courgettes) is a popularly cultivated summer squash. Right now in Tuscany this is certainly the most popular and abundant veg you’ll find.

You don’t necessarily have to fry those blossoms alone you can add the sliced zucchini, by dipping them into the best batter and frying!
