“Mare per Tutti” (Seaside for All) is an annual event in Grosseto. Around 24 beach clubs from Principina to Marina di Grosseto participate in the initiative that offers one free week of beach-going for disabled people.
The beach clubs themselves came up with the idea which has the patronage of the City of Grosseto and is coordinated by the URP Disabilities Office. People travel from near and far to take advantage of the offer- including places such as Milan, Padua, Modena, Perugia, Siena, Arezzo and Florence.
The offer enables each person to have two chairs and an umbrella for one week- something that in Italy is usually paid for on the private beaches.
