Many stars are expected in Tuscany for a summer that is already being defined as the "Summer of gold" for music.
The much-anticipated concert by Radiohead scheduled at the Cascine park has been postponed to September 23, 2012.
The Lucca Summer Festival returns this year, featuring many stars. Blink 182 will plays on July 4; in addition to Laura Pausini on July 7; the romantic Nora Jones on July 14; Kasabian on July 15, Roger Hodgson voice of Supertramp on July 18, Gossip on July 19, Franco Battiato on July 20 and Duran Duran on July 21.
The Estate Fiesolane offers from June 20 to July 26 events concerning classical music, prose, cinema, jazz and art, concentrated in an intense period of dates. For the "Living Jazz" series, expect to see Gilbert Gil, music legend and cultural ambassador of Brazil, on July 23 on stage at the Teatro Romano national exclusive; Dave Holland on July 17; Richard Galliano on July 10 at the Teatro Romano; and the American guitarist Eric Johnson on July 14.
Alanis Morissette is back with a new album and exciting new tour that will take her to the principal cities in Europe this summer. The tour will begin on June 25 in Birmingham. She will perform in Florence at the Cavea del Nuovo Teatro dell'Opera on July 20, and in three other Italian locations.
On July 26, Patti Smith returns to Arezzo at the Casa del Vento for the "Orientoccidente" festival.
The Irish singer songwriter Damien Rice will be at the Cavea del Nuovo Teatro dell'Opera on July 28, during the Live On festival.
