Promoted by the Associazione Parco Ciclistico del Chianti, the event is organized every year in the month of September and attracts cyclists from across the world. The route is over 100 kilometers, and crosses the Terre di Siena area, mainly on white dirt roads. The rules dictate that all participants wear historical clothing and ride on classic bikes. In additino to the race, the Eroica route (which also has a shorter route) can be done all year long.
PROGRAM:
1st day: Arrival and check-in at hotel.
2nd day: Participants can partake in other events held during the Eroica race, like for example, they can visit the classic bike exhibit, or ride in the MiniEroica (for children). Dinner with all participants.
3rd day: Departure for the Eroica race at 5am. Race ends at 7pm. Award ceremony for the winners.
4th day: Conclusion of the Eroice event by visiting the Terre di Siena area.
