Dance and Music at the Bargello

Head to the Bargello Museum in the evening for the Bargello Summer Festival, with a wide range of music, theater and dance events. This multidiscplinary offering was started in 2003 with a thematic link between the Museum and the events that are hosted there. Shows begin at 9:15, tickets range from 12/15 euro, and are available the Box Office kiosks. 

May 23, Proust's “Un amore di Swann”  by Compagnia Sandro Lombardi. Before and after the event it is possible to visit -for free - the exhibit devoted to “Fabulae Pictae. Miti e storie nelle maioliche del Rinascimento.” 

July 27-30, the Compagnia Laboratorio di Pontedera puts on “Gengè” from “Uno, nessuno e centomila”,by Pirandello, directed by Roberto Bacci. 

June 25-July 22, the Bargello Museum hosts the 23rd Florence Dance Festival

June 18 “Mistico mediterraneo” with trumpet player Paolo Fresu and Daniele Di Bonaventura.

June 27 Coro Harmonia Cantata

July 8 Homage by Flame Ensemble to Salvatore Sciarrino

July 9 Homage by Flame Ensemble to Gérard Grisey and composer Fausto Romitelli

There will also be numerous classic and contemporary music concerts between July 14-July 31.
