The third annual "Vivere l'Appennino" event will take place on two weekends in May (11-13, 18-20) in Montecatini Terme. This event is an exposition of products and activities from the Tusco-Emilian portion of the mountains, and not only the best known areas. In fact, Garfagnana, Valbisenzio, Friganano and Svizzer Pesciatina will be highlighted. Learn about the area, its history, culture, economy, cuisine, sport and nature.
It's easy to get to Montecatini Terme from the Autostrada (follow the signs for the Zona Ipercoop after the exit) and there will be ample parking and shuttle services. There will be events, games, debates and lots of food. On the Thursday evenings before the weekends, two films will be shown: “Una Gita Scolastica”, by Pupi Avati and “Questa Storia Qua”, a short film about Vasco Rossi (who was born in the area) at the Cinema Adriano in Montecatini Terme on the 10th and 17th respectively. No tickets necessary, but do make a reservation.
