Summer events at the Montagna Pistoiese Ecomuseum

Conferences, excursions, guided visits, shows and music

This summer, try a tradition-filled vacation at the Montagna Pistoiese (Pistoia Mountains). The “Ecomuseum” summer is officially in action with a series of various events taking place all over the Pistoia Apennines.

The Ecomuseum offers a wealth of events, many in tandem with the acoustic music festival Itinerari Musicali Sentieri Acustici. Meetings; exhibitions; special museum openings; excursions to the Abetone Botanical Gardens, the “Libro Aperto” summit, Nero Lake, Mount Gomito and the Alpe delle Tre Potenze mountain range; free guided visits to the medieval Acquerino settlement; tastings of locally produced wine and olive oil and much more. Each of the six sections of the Ecomuseum—naturalistic, ice, iron, religion and sacred art, stone, daily life—offer exciting visits all summer long.

The Central Info Point is located in Gavinana inside the historic Palazzo Achilli and boasts interactive workshops, a reception point, sound recorded and visual archives about the area’s traditions.
