This museum-park is located in the centre of the Etruscan and Napoleonic valley of San Martino. Created by the Elban artist Italo Bolano in 1964 with the collaboration of internationally famous artists, the Open-Air Museum consists of 20 ceramic monuments harmoniously installed in a beautiful Mediterranean park of about ten thousand square metres. The park also has a painting and drawing gallery as well as a ceramics gallery, an outdoor theatre, and a variety of contemporary art workshops which bring artists and members of the public together.
