A scenic terrace overlooking the Florentine valley

The sweet hills of Fiesole offer stunning views

Every corner of Fiesole is packed with history and culture. Particularly well-loved by foreigners, it’s a town where you’ll find Romanic churches, a Roman theater, museums and medieval palaces. In the city center, you’ll find Piazza Mino and the cathedral. From there, take a short uphill walk toward the Convent of San Francesco. Once you’ve reached the top of this small street, you’ll be able to enjoy a marvelous 360 degree scenic view of Florence. Thanks to the silence of this religious complex and the altitude of the hamlet’s hillside, you can truly immerse yourself in the immensity of the Florentine valley.

The countryside of Fiesole is full of open green spaces dotted with gardens surrounding elegant villas, providing sharp contrasts with Florence’s more urban setting. This hilly skyline is characterized by some of the most magnificent architectural gems of Florence including Brunelleschi’s imposing Dome, the famed Piazzale Michelangelo and the glorious Palazzo Vecchio. The view is worth the climb at any time of the day and in any season.
