Florence’s historical businesses in pocketbook format

The guide includes all of the activities mentioned in the voluntary list of historical Florentine businesses of the Council of Florence. With this guide, published in pocket-form, the Council offers its visitors, and - why not? - its citizens, a practical and easy-to-use tool to distribute the knowledge of Florentine traditions, customs and culture. The guide divides the city into 5 zones (Piazza della Repubblica, Santa Maria Novella, Santa Croce, Oltrarno, outside the walls) and for each area the businesses are subdivided by commercial category. Each zone is equipped with a map where the exact location of the firms is indicated. Each activity is illustrated by a brief story that underlines its main characteristics. 50,000 copies of the guide have been printed and it is distributed free in all of the mentioned businesses, the Pubic Relations Office, the Districts and the Tourist Information Office.
