Tours of Pisa's treasures

Spring and summer are a wonderful time to visit the city of Pisa and see its marvels with guided tours, which can be booked all year through.

 

 

The visit includes an explanation of the artistic and architectural monuments in the piazza and their historical connection to the city; includes entrance to the Duomo with explanations of the sculpture of Giovanni Pisano and the apse by San Giovanni del Cimabue; includes entrance to the Battistero with acoustic demonstration.

Cost: 8 euro per person including the Duomo and Battistero (but not the Leaning Tower), 6 euro for children 10-18, free for children under 10.

Departure: 11:30am at the Ticket booth of the Museo delle Sinopie. Tour lasts one hour. For religious purposes, entrance to the Duomo and Battistero can also be accessed through Camposanto, Museo dell’Opera del Duomo, and Museo delle Sinopie

 

An original way to visit the city in three short walks that leave from Piazza (entrance to the Cathedral is included in the afternoon tour) and cross the city, through Piazza dei Cavalieri, Borgo Stretto, Lungarni, all the way to the mural Tuttomondo by Keith Haring.

Cost: 9, 11, or 12 euro per person; 5, 7, or 8 euro for children 10-16; free for under ten.

Departure: 3pm at ticket office of Museo delle Sinopie (on Friday night tours meet at central ticket office near the Tower). Tour lasts 1 hour in piazza, 2 hours piazza plus city, 3 hours for complete tour of Pisa.

This is an electrifying tour that lasts two hours and takes visitors through the center of Pisa and the main sites relevant to the great scientist Galileo Galilei.
