Castagneto Marina

A wide sandy beach protected by pine trees

Pine trees and typically Mediterranean plants border the wide, sandy beach at Marina di Castagneto. The town is home to a military fort built during the Renaissance which played a crucial role in Tuscany's coastal defences.

The sea here is clean and crystal-clear. Marina di Castagneto has been awarded a Blue Flag by the European Union on several occasions for its clean beaches, natural environment and welcoming atmosphere. There are several fully equipped private beaches and 'Punti Azzuri', which is the name given to the wide stretches of public beaches where essential services are still provided.

There are many options when it comes to accommodation, including hotels, guesthouses and campsites. Holiday-makers can enjoy their stay immersed in nature or taking part in a wide variety of sports. The town is also home to one of Tuscany's biggest and most exciting theme parks, Il Cavallino Matto, where both adults and children are guaranteed a great day out.
