Thermal baths of Equi

In the heart of Lunigiana and the Apuan Alps a bathing establishment that was once frequented by the Romans

In the midst of splendid woodland scenery in the heart of Lunigiana, at the foot of that impressive peak of the Apuan Alps, the Pizzo d'Uccello, there is the village of Equi Terme, a spa in the province of Massa Carrara. The ancient Romans once appreciated the same therapeutical benefits of the chloride-sulphate-sodium-radioactive waters, ideal for treating affections of the respiratory apparatus, affections of the skin, or osteo-articular and angiological pathologies. The atmosphere is rich in history as well as the nature of the surrounding places, of which colours, flavours and aromas all abound.

The spa centre consists of a bathing establishment, a complex of open-air thermal pools and also offers a series of services including professional medical staff, inhalatory therapies (inhalations, aerosols or air sprays, vaporizers, endotympanic insufflations), general or localised hydromassage with thermal water, balneotherapy, total and partial massage, sauna solarium, beauty treatments with a special line of cosmetic products specifically realised for Equi Terme.
The structure has an agreement to operate within the structure of the national health service for cycles of inhaling therapy and balneotherapy.
